We are very excited to announce that one of our Christmas gifts has arrived at just the right time to close 2021 on a high note: We have been chosen as one of the winners of the Santander X Global Challenge! The news has taken us by surprise but has been very well received by the whole team.
This global challenge aims to identify and recognize the most innovative startups in the field of financial inclusion, which every day are responsible for generating a lasting social and economic impact for millions of people around the world.
At Coinscrap Finance, we work every day to help in this mission, providing didactic tools to improve people’s financial health without much effort. To this end, we rely on our categorization engine COCO, the artificial intelligence that studies the saving behavior of users by offering personalized recommendations depending on the financial profile of each one of them.
The integration of micro-savings products within the companies achieves to a great extent the automation of the saving process of people. This service makes it possible to incorporate savings rules such as rounding, making it easier to save small amounts of money by rounding expenses to the nearest euro. Other savings rules such as the team rule, allow the user to choose their favorite football team, and if they win a match, they will automatically save €1 in the digital piggy bank.

Financial inclusion actively seeks to reduce social gaps and inequalities marked by technological development in developing countries. In doing so, it seeks to create new opportunities for growth among underprivileged communities, helping the population as a whole to grow progressively.
